Animal Crossing QR Codes (Paths)

One of the few things I tend to carry around with me all the time is my Nintendo 3DS. It's easily one of my favorite ways to play games because of how small and portable it is. The most relaxing & happy game I play (almost daily at this point) is Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I won't go into detail about gameplay as it is very popular and there are plenty of references if you Google it! One of the best parts of the game is the amount of customizable content that can be used to decorate your house & town. I've collected some of my favorite QR codes to share with you guys for your games! This will be the first in a series of posts - today I'm posting PATHS as our first collection. Make sure to click the "Read More" at the bottom of the post to see them all!

Animal Crossing: New Leaf (Review)

Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Nintendo 3DS

I'm pretty sure this post is going to be the equivalent of new parents excitedly showing off their new baby photos - I care a lot about my Animal Crossing town and the life I lead with my small animal villagers but I don't know that anyone else cares. And just like those proud parents, I'm gonna go ahead and show 'em to you anyway!

I don't doubt though that anyone who is a fan of Animal Crossing and plays consistently will understand exactly what I'm saying. Somehow this series manages to get you extremely emotionally invested in a fictional town of anthropomorphic animals. Lets put it this way - I have certain characters birthdays in my iPhone calendar...... right.

I play video games fairly often - and I'm a little embarrassed to admit that the game that has held my interest for the longest period of time (by a long shot) is AC. I know it seems frustrating when you begin playing to constantly have to wait until the next day to get certain achievements - but I think the fact that this game limits and forces you to pace yourself is what allows you to stay engaged for so long.

This was my first Animal Crossing game so I went in pretty blind as to what to expect. I was drawn in largely by the aesthetics - the game is so beautiful and enjoyable to look at. I love all of the design elements! I was delighted though, to discover how hilarious the dialogue is as well.

Check out my quaint Animal Crossing life in the Town of Sparkle from the past year!

Minecraft Photography

Being the poor, 20 year old introverts that we are my boyfriend and I spend a lot of time satisfying our desire to travel and be exciting by exploring shared Minecraft worlds. We've been playing with the Feed the Beast client in order to make everything a little more exciting. We are hardly using it to it's full ability (I have no idea what half the shit I come across actually does) but it definitely makes for some exciting finds, whether it's different creatures or extreme biomes. Enjoy some of our screenshots!

Pokémon X and Y

I'm a huge fan of Pokémon still at the age of 23 (no shame) and I'm pretty pumped for the new games that are slated to come out in October. A bunch of new information was released today about some new species, as well as information about gameplay that will hopefully get you guys as excited as I am.

As you may already know, a few months ago we were introduced to our new starters for this gen: Chespin, Froakie, and Fennekin.

I almost always start with Fire and I think Fennekin is pretty adorable, so I've already planned to begin my game with him/her. We have also met our two Legendary Pokémon: Xerneas and Yveltal.

Again, I've already been planning ahead and I will definitely be getting X because I love Xerneas. Those antlers are so pretty.

Two more Pokémon that have been confirmed for this game are Sylveon and a new form of Mewtwo that I don't believe has an official title yet. There hasn't been much information about these guys released yet though. Sylveon is another form of Eevee!

I love love love Sylveon and I know I'll spend the majority of my gameplay trying to catch one :3

The following four Pokémon are Yamchan, Elikiteru, Yayakoma, Gogoat. These are the Japanese names for the character, so if you are in the U.S. you might end up seeing them with different names once the game is released.

"Yanchamu (ヤンチャム) is the Naughty Pokémon. It is Fighting-type, 0.6m and 8.0kg. It has a new move called Parting Remark.

Yayakoma (ヤヤコマ) is the Japanese Robin Pokémon. It is Normal/Flying, 0.3m and 1.7kg.

Elikiteru (エリキテル) is an Electric/Normal-type. It is the Generation Pokémon and is 0.5m and 6.0kg. It has a new move called Parabola Charge which heals the user while damaging opponents. It uses solar rays to generate electricity.

Gogoat (ゴーゴート) and is the Riding Pokémon. It’s Grass-type, 1.7m and 91.0kg. You can actually ride this Pokémon in the field. It can learn Horn Leech."

There are also rumors that your character will be customizable which will be a nice addition as well. Let me know if you guys have heard any other rumors about the game that I missed in my post!
